Sexual assault and family violence counselling
South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault (SECASA)
SECASA provides:
- Services to people who have been sexually or physically assaulted, including:
- crisis care
- counselling
- medical care and advocacy
- Information and education to raise community awareness of domestic and family violence, and
- Awareness and prevention focussed programs.
Services offered:
- 24 hour crisis service for adults, children and non-offending family members for sexual assault and domestic and family violence
- Confidential, short term counselling and support for those who have been sexually or physically assaulted recently or in the past
- Confidential medium term counselling
- Groups
- Phone consultation facility for hearing impaired clients
- Urgent medical care and follow up when required
- Community and professional education
- Information and referral
- Legal advocacy
- Court reports
- Joint Legal Service with Springvale Monash Legal Service
- Programs for youth who have committed sex offending behaviours
